Looking In to Your Eyes
I look into your eyes, Where I find another world. A world you have created Of love and joy, beauty and romance. I long to enter that world. Just waiting at the door, Trying to open it. The lock holds fast, I can only stare through the window. Maybe I should break the glass Going through the window. It is not possible to shatter the glass Without shattering the world. I am at an impasse, I must wait until you unlock the door. I will wait and wait and wait For I know it is worth it. Hopefully you will come around soon So that I don't have to wait too long.
Teachable Moments
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it's his fault; if he betrays you twice, it's your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.
God gives every bird it's food, but He does not throw it into it's nest.
He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses more; He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are acts of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
The tongue weighs practically nothing, But so few people can hold it.

Service Rep: Hello, you have reached the HEART Systems Software Company help desk. How may I help you?
Customer: I just received your latest program, LOVE v4.0...you know....the FREE-ware. I don't understand it. Can tell me how to install it?
Service Rep: Sure thing ma'am. Do you have the installation disk and instructions with you?
Customer: Yes I do, first can you tell me what the program does?
Service Rep: Sure thing ma'am. LOVE is a unique program, there is no other like it in the world.
LOVE attaches to your operating system and runs silently in the background, you will never see LOVE on your monitor or your toolbar, but you will notice its affect on every application you may have. It makes the good programs run smoother and greatly restricts and/or deletes the bad ones.
Customer: Wow! That sounds great. How does LOVE make my machine run smoother?
Service Rep: Well, good sound files, like COMPLIMENT.WAV, ENCOURAGEMENT.WAV, and KINDWORD.WAV will play frequently. Also, FORGIVE-NESS.EXE will be invoked every time there is an external violation, including the ever-popular syntax errors.
Also, all those aggravating errors that say "unable to connect" will be avoided. LOVE allows for a smooth connection with external devices, regardless of what country it is manufactured in, the brand name, or the age of the model.
Customer: That's exactly what I need, my machine has been isolated for too long. But what about the bad programs?
Service Rep: Good question. LOVE searches your memory for programs like HATE.COM, BITTERNESS.EXE, SELFISH.COM, and SPITE.EXE. These programs can't be entirely deleted off your hard drive, but LOVE overpowers those programs.
LOVE stops their commands from being executed and runs its own instructions. You will no longer hear INSULT.WAV and you wont be able to write with the fonts "BADWORDS12" or HARSHNESS10".
Customer: That's a fantastic program you have. Are the upgrades free too?
Service Rep: They sure are ma'am.
Customer: How do I get the upgrades?
Service Rep: That's easy. Once you have LOVE installed and running, it automatically copies a module, or a piece of itself, to every external Hard drive Email And Remote terminal (HEART) that it comes in contact with. In turn, those external devices run whatever version of LOVE they have and return a module to your HEART.
You will be upgraded with each and every module that you receive. But you have to remember, to receive the upgrades you have to be running LOVE and you have to come into contact with other computers while it is running.
Customer: I can do that. I'm not very technical, but I think I am ready to install now. What do I do first?
Service Rep: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART ma'am?
Customer: Yes I have, but there are several programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?
Service Rep: What programs are running ma'am?
Customer: Let me see....I have PASTHURT.EXE, LOWESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.COM running right now.
Service Rep: No problem. LOVE will automatically erase PASTHURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs.
LOVE will eventually overwrite LOWESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGHESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM.
Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ma'am?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?
Service Rep: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until GRUDGE.EXE and RESENT-MENT.COM have been completely erased.
Customer: Okay, I'm done. LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?
Service Rep: Yes it is. You should receive a message that says it will reinstall for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message?
Customer: Yes I do. Is it completely installed?
Service Rep: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEARTs in order to get the upgrades.
Customer: Oops...I have an error message already. What should I do?
Service Rep: What does the message say?
Customer: It says "ERROR 412 - PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS". What does that mean?
Service Rep: Don't worry ma'am, that's a common problem. It means that the LOVE program is set up to run on external HEARTS but has not yet been run on your HEART.
It is one of those complicated programming things, but In non-technical terms it means you have to "LOVE" your own machine be-fore it can "LOVE" others.
Customer: So what should I do?
Service Rep: Can you find the directory called "SELF-ACCEPTANCE"?
Customer: Yes, I have it.
Service Rep: Excellent, you're getting good at this.
Customer: Thank you.
Service Rep: You're welcome. Click on the following files and then copy them to the "MYHEART" directory: FORGIVESELF.DOC, SELFESTEEM.TXT, REAL-IZEWORTH.TXT, and GOODNESS.DOC.
The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELFCRITIC.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin after-wards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with really neat files. SMILE.MPG is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that WARMTH.COM, PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.COM are copying themselves all over my HEART!
Service Rep: Then LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. One more thing before I go...
Customer: Yes?
Service Rep: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some really neat modules back to you.
Customer: I will. Thank you for your help.

The Key to Friendship
The key to friendship.. is not in the hand you hold, but how you hold the hand. It's not in the tears you dry, but all the reasons why.
It's not how you make a person smile but whether or not it's worthwhile. It's not in the conversation, but in the way you listen. It's not in the laughter, but what comes before and everything after.
The key to friendship.. is not in two people relating, but in two hearts communicating. Thank you for being that very special friend, who understands the key to friendship, and how to unlock everything within.

An Angel Whisper
Angels are ever all around us And with His love they do surround us. When my heart is sore in need The angels come, my soul to feed. They come to me from up above and sing in whispers of "His" love. When in my heart I feel a tug I know that it's an Angel's hug.
Looking Over You
I am a tiny angel I'm smaller than your thumb, I live in peoples pocket, That's where I have my fun.
I don't suppose you've seen me, I'm too tiny to detect, Though I'm with you all the time, I doubt we've ever met.
Before I was an Angel I was a fairy in a flower, God, Himself, hand picked me, And gave me Angel power.
Now God has many Angels that He trains in Angel pools, We become His eyes, and ears, and hands We become His special tools.
And because God is so busy, With way too much to do, He said that my assignment Is to keep close watch on you.
When He tucked me in your pocket He blessed you with Angel care Then told me to never leave you, And I vowed always to be there.
I'm your Guardian Angel...

Just Me
Accept me as I am-I have no guarantee. A claim to perfection I have not. Perfect I cannot be. I, like you.....am human. Prone to make mistakes. Failure is not a character flaw, Just a part of the human makeup. I live, I laugh and I also learn. My knowledge is incomplete. I am searching all the time, in waking hours as well as sleep. I have a long road to travel, as well as you do. We learn our lessons on the way. Wisdom we shall acrue. Accept me as I am Because I am ....me. And You are you. No one like me in the world. That is my only guarantee. God Bless....

True Joy of Life
This is the true joy of life. The being used for a purpose Recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being a force of nature Instead of a feverish, selfish Little clod of ailments and grievances Complaining that the world will not Devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life Belongs to the whole community And as long as I live, It is my privilege to do for it Whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly Used up when I die, For the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch Which I've got hold of For the moment And I want to make it burn As brightly as possible before Handling it on to future generations

The Difference
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray,
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task. "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me. He said," But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently and lovingly chided, "My child you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day; I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

A Friend
A friend is a person whom you want to have near when you are dying. And whom you like to be with while you are living; To whom you spontaneously turn for help when you are in trouble. And who is the first to hear the good news when you have good fortune; Whose counsel you seek when you are perplexed. And whose congratulations you welcome when the perplexity is solved; In whom you can confide the secret you want no other living soul to know. Yet will never pry into your heart to discover whether there are any more secrets to be revealed; On whom you can lean when your heart aches. But who will never take advantage of your leaning; Who will get down on his knees beside you when you are down. And forget that he did so when you are on your feet again; And whose shoulder you can weep on when you are sad. And with whom you enjoy laughing when you are glad; Who has a tear on his cheek when you suffer. And a twinkle in his eye when the sun shines on you again; Who has pain in his tone when you are in distress. And melody in his voice when your heart is gay; Who admires you for your strong points. But loves you in spite of your weak ones; Who can laugh at your foibles. Without despising you for having them; Who makes allowance for your limitations. Without allowing them to obscure your talents; Who is proud of you when fortune favors you. But not ashamed of you when you fail; Who contributes to your success without claiming any share in it. Who can feel and show satisfaction when you please him. But never resentment when you disappoint him; Who will tell you the truth even when it hurts. And to whom you can tell the truth without his taking offense; Who is not ashamed to ask you a favor even at the risk of being imposed upon. Who can extend a helping hand and lighten your load Without expecting any other reward than having had the privilege of so doing; Who gives all he can whenever he can. Without ever keeping a record of what he has given; Who says the best about you when everybody else is saying the worst. Any person needs at least four such friends; Every person owes it to himself to be such a friend to at least four fellow humans.
God help me to be such a friend.

A Simple Thank-You, My Friend
Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world, You entered, bringing light and life to me, The vivid colors, painted with a swirl Of wit and charm, of personality, With tender care, you added comfort, warmth, And images that line the now bright walls. I look upon them fondly, bringing forth A thankfulness that you walk in these halls With me; our friendship has become a part Of my world now; it has its special place, Within my being, life, and in my heart, Your name hangs right beside your smiling face. Rememb'ring just how drab these walls had been, I have to thank you for the light, my friend. |

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home; A charm from the sky seems to hallow us there, Which, seek through the world, is ne'er met with elsewhere. Home, home, sweet, sweet home! There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!
An exile from home, splendor dazzles in vain; Oh, give me my lowly thatched cottage again! The birds singing gayly, that come at my call -- Give me them -- and the peace of mind, dearer than all! Home, home, sweet, sweet home! There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!
I gaze on the moon as I tread the drear wild, And feel that my mother now thinks of her child, As she looks on that moon from our own cottage door Thro' the woodbine, whose fragrance shall cheer me no more. Home, home, sweet, sweet home! There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!
How sweet 'tis to sit 'neath a fond father's smile, And the caress of a mother to soothe and beguile! Let others delight mid new pleasures to roam, But give me, oh, give me, the pleasures of home. Home, home, sweet, sweet home! There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!
To thee I'll return, overburdened with care; The heart's dearest solace will smile on me there; No more from that cottage again will I roam; Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. Home, home, sweet, sweet, home! There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home! | | Persons Are Gifts
Persons Are Gifts ............................ wrapped !
Some are wrapped beautifully: they are very attractive when I first see them. Some come in ordinary wrapping paper. Others have been mishandled in the mail. Once in a while there is a special delivery ! Some persons are gifts which are very loosely wrapped, not sealed. Others are tightly wrapped, practically locked, enigmas really, almost forbidding.
But the wrapping is not the gift ! It is easy to make this mistake ... It's very amusing when babies do it.
Sometimes the gift is very easy to open. Sometimes I need others to help. Is it because some are afraid ? Does it hurt to be known truly, honestly ? Maybe they have been opened before and thrown away, discarded ? Maybe such a gift isn't for me, too good for me ? Maybe I'm not ready; I'm not open ? I'm indifferent ? Maybe I don't recognize the gift, that it is for me ?
I am a person ... Therefore I am a gift too. A gift to myself first of all--God gave me to me !
Have I ever really looked inside the wrapping ? Perhaps I've never accepted the gift that I am? Could it be that there is something else inside than what I think ? Could God's gift be anything but good ? Maybe it needs polishing--to bring out its value, it's natural lustre ! Maybe it's unique--hasn't found its essential worth ?
And I am a gift to other persons ! Am I willing to be given to others ? A person for others ? Do others have to be content with the wrappings ? Never permitted to enjoy the true me ?
Every meeting of persons is an exchange of gifts. But a gift without a giver is not a gift .. It is a thing devoid of relationship to giver or receiver.
Friendship is a relationship between persons who see themselves as they truly are: both gifts of GOD .. to each other .. for others .. truly related to each other. A friend is a gift, not just for me, but to others through me. When I keep my friend--possess him--I destroy his "giftness." If I save his life for me, I lose it; If I lose it for others, I save it !
Persons are gifts, gifts received and gifts given--God's BEST GIFTS on Earth !
Receive and Give the Gift WITH EYE S WIDE OPEN and rejoice
Love
- Love takes time. It needs a history of giving and receiving, laughing and crying...
- Love never promises instant gratification, only ultimate fulfillment.
- Love means believing in someone, in something. It supposes a willingness to struggle, to work, to suffer, and to rejoice.
- Satisfaction and ultimate fulfillment are by-products of dedicated love. They belong only to those who can reach beyond themselves; to whom giving is more important than receiving.
- Love is doing everything you can to help others build whatever dreams they have.
- Love involves much careful and active listening. It is doing whatever needs to be done, and saving whatever will promote the other's happiness, security, and well-being. Sometimes, love hurts.
- Love is on a constant journey to what others need. It must be attentive, caring and open, both to what others say and to what others cannot say.
- Love says no with empathy and great compassion.
- Love is firm, but when needed it must be tender.
When others have tried and failed, love is the hand in yours in your moments of discouragement and disappointment.
- Love is reliable.
Love is a choice and commitment to others' true and lasting happiness. It is dedicated to growth and fulfillment. Love is not selfish.
- Love forgives, knowing the intentions are good.
- Love does not attach conditions... Genuine love is always a free gift.
- Love realizes and accepts that there will be disagreements and disturbing emotions... There may be times when miles lay between, but love is a commitment. It believes, and endures all things.
- Love encourages freedom of self. Love shares positive and negative reactions to warm and cold feelings.
- Love, intimate love, will never reject others. It is the first to encourage and the last to condemn.
- Love is a commitment to growth, happiness, and fulfillment of one another.

Happiness comes and goes. Happiness gives us a lot of relief from tension. Happiness teaches us what the life means. Happiness makes us forget all our sorrows. Happiness gives us a new lesson of surviving in our life. Had there been no happiness, Life would have been like a hell. Happiness makes you feel happy at every time. Joke, laughter, playing entertainment is all about happiness. Happiness never ends; it ends when you feel sad around you. Happiness becomes your friend when you are very happy.
| | It means being at peace with one’s surroundings and comfortable within one’s own skin.
It means acknowledging that life isn’t always fair, and that while the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental right, the achievement of same is never guaranteed.
It means knowing that when all is said and done, we can honestly love ourselves…because of who we are, and despite that, too.
It means traveling the peaks and valleys of each day in search of a new lesson to learn and a fresh blessing to count, whatever the circumstances.
If, at the end of the day, you can say you’ve found one of each, you’ll enjoy the feeling of being content.
